#ROBOCOP is remembered for many things, but in #filmmaking terms it plays like a masterclass in shot composition and staging, particularly using depth for relationship dynamics.

David Lynch’s ERASERHEAD was such an enigmatic inspiration at NYU when I was a film student, not so much for what the film was, but for how it was made - with determination, by a young upstart director, on nights and weekends, over a long period of time.
