My ten cents: SINNERS is unique in that a lot of its commentary is disguised as musical theory. For example, the banjo is a variation of an African instrument that was claimed by Irish music in America, and SINNERS has a lot to say about that in its compositions. It's Music History 101 as horror.

I got offered a LOT of money to host an official HP podcast and turned it down immediately. I’m assuming since I am not a podcaster that they have an extremely long list of people who have also said no to this. Dunno what‘s going on with the actors but the comics are holding the line lol

Other bad faith readers may stumble across my writing, but it's not For Them™, so I don't really care what they think. And when threads go around bemoaning the bad engagement we get online as writers, I always kind of shrug, because it's not worth worrying about their reactions. Out of our control.

I sometimes think an interesting exercise for film critics would be to answer the question, "Who are you writing for?" I like to imagine myself writing for people who are curious but maybe a little inexperienced when it comes to film. The bad news? They're a pretty passive audience online.

Pete Hegseth Should Be Charged With Murder No matter how you look at the strikes on alleged “drug boats”—as acts of war or attacks on civilians—Hegseth has committed a crime and should be prosecuted.

If we're not at war, Pete Hegseth is a murderer. If we are at war, Pete Hegseth is still a murderer. He's a murderer. And you don't need to go to The Hague to hold him accountable because there are perfectly good, American laws AGAINST MURDER.
