3/ Why care? Early-onset preeclampsia affects 2–10% of pregnancies and has long-term consequences for both mom & baby. Targeting Piezo1 & TRPV4 might hold therapeutic potential in the future.

2/ Our findings? In EPE, these channels aren't playing nice. Calcium signaling? Reduced. Nitric oxide production? Complicated. And the endothelial barrier? We’re seeing serious cracks. Turns out, teamwork makes the placenta work—when it's healthy.
