Haven't read but added it to the list. Just read On Tyranny: 20 Lessons from the 20th Century by Timothy Snyder. He presents ideas for the present (written around trump's first term) but what is frightening are the parallels he gives as example between early 1900's authoritarian regimes and today.

It is alarming that the LA Times took a piece written by Dr. Reinhart, edited it to say the opposite of what he actuallly said, and then the owner, billionaire Trumper Dr. Soon-Shiong, tried to use the altered piece to amplify his own political beliefs.

It would be nice to see mainstream media acknowledge that every alarmist in their ranks about Trump and his henchmen has been correct, and every single "Let's all calm down" guy--a posture of blasé detachment that is consistently over-rewarded in legacy media--has called it wrong from day one.

I wrote this letter about our path forward.

In only two weeks, Trump has made us less safe at home, less safe abroad, less safe in the air, threatened our health/healthcare, positioned us for higher prices and more inflation, pissed off our allies and emboldened our enemies.

To recap, Trump:

-Forced out the FAA chief at Musk's insistence
-Imposed a hiring freeze that reportedly included air traffic controllers
-Fired the TSA head and gutted a key aviation safety committee
-Blamed the DCA crash on DEI

This is disastrous leadership.
