Let’s be abundantly clear; Bovino’s demotion means absolutely nothing. All it signals is that the administration is looking for someone to take the fall for an unwinnable PR situation.

yeah, the prevalence/popularity of 40k these days definitely makes it a toss up. 10-15 years ago, it would have definitely been deliberate.

Not that they actually are doing this, but can I just say as a huge, lifelong Warhammer nerd I always find it weird when right wingers earnestly love the Imperium. It's the same energy as watching Verhoeven's Starship Troopers and totally missing the point.

Exactly. It has to be disingenuous. Whoever made the initial post is just some random person and assumedly not someone of significance, which makes it even weirder that they’ve internalized and are spouting the notion that even literal fascists inherently mean well.

Yeah the whole political line of “our opponents have failed to do anything decent or good” completely disregards the fact that they never intended to.
