You are right- but I never fully get why!

Life doesn’t feel as real and impactful without thought.

I don’t really feel like myself and like I inhabit space without thought.

I left my PhD program with a masters after 2 years. But even in two years I had a similar experience. And I won’t say it didn’t make it easier to leave.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.
