Enhancing characters Idle animationss with a custom IK solver + noise based oscillation . Needs tweaking but quite happy with the results and by being less dependant to framed animations.

Giving the HUD bar a new look!
Previously it was made of floating sections depending on the game context, but it was a pain to hide/unhide and keep track of everything. So I made it more classic RPG-like: more compact, fewer headaches, and it looks better 🤘 #godot #godotengine #gamedev #indiegame

Working on a unified skin shader that can serve all characters,avoiding the need to texture each one individually,and saving tons of time when creating new ones.
It works by blending different maps along with the character’s blend shapes.

Time to get hands dirty with weighted RNG.
Here, I'm tweaking the probability of finding a loot room so it increases with each failed roll — a way to make randomness feel fairer and empower player agency.
Balance should start here :D

I hit that wall the past month. Realized that 'self-explanatory' is a bad thinking, not even to rotate a camera , not even when it's written in a panel with instructions 😂
So don't overlook that part of the process , the sooner the better ;)
Pd: can't play your demo on linux but good luck with it!

Been using just the regular plugins for dap , I tried to get the REPL console with autoscroll and bbcode enabled without success, but the DAP works so far. I have my whole configuration uploaded here if you want to check it out

Indeed,I even made a 'fast mode' to automate where I want to go to through menus and fast tweens to avoid this. Feeling like an idiot but my life is way better now 😂

Fun Fact (Not that fun 😑):
Using #Godot since it was open-sourced (2014), while setting up the DAP in #neovim, I JUST REALIZED I can fix errors, quick-save, and resume. For years, I thought errors broke everything, so I always relaunched my projects every single time.
It was always there smh ... 🤦‍♂️

Ahh yea, I see! Thats a proper approach too! Relying on strings has their pros and cons. In my case I'm not defining any signal, just launching and receiving,which is so flexible, but more difficult to debug and no autocompletion,certainly. Anyways looks like could be reworked at some point. Thanks!

How much simpler is it? Maybe I'm over complicating it? This approach aims to keep some track of the events and objects so they don't subscribe twice or still receiving events while tree_exiting. A system yet to polish but I think somewhat robust

What?! Now my custom projector started projecting the Godot editor itself, fully updated with the my recent new custom classes and everything 🤣🤣. Easy fix by pressing that @export_button, but still, pretty cool! #GodotEngine #Impious #Indiedev
