Someone plz let me know if there is a way- other than individually deleting- to get rid of bot accounts?

Seriously. I'm estimating 10K on mine. I hate it.

You’re not imagining it: you may be paying more than your neighbour for the exact same item. Algorithms can now serve every individual an individual price tailored by their data, habits, and perceived desperation. Affordability has a new enemy. https://ow.ly/NCHy50XX0LQ

Queer freedom is incompatible with a world in which ICE exists | Xtra Magazine Renee Nicole Good’s death at the hands of ICE agents should be prosecuted as a homophobic hate crime

This month, at Xtra: ICE executing a queer woman in broad daylight was shocking, but it's just the latest gender violence from a long, long history. Why queer people must oppose ICE: xtramagazine.com/power/activi...

I think it's one of those "I don't relate to this," kind of deals. I get it.

I have yet to watch it, TBH.

However, I am super happy for Rachel, the author. I remember when her first book came out, and seeing her playing drums in a kick-ass garage rock band in the early 00s.

This year started with planting an orchard, and writing what I have just written made me think back on this piece I published in early 2024 on the first full orchard I planted from scratch, including sowing a new meadow. I love that space, but still worry about it now and again.

Best explanation of how it became embarrassing to be a β€œfoodie”
Writer and friend of the blog Jaya Saxena wrote about The Life and Death of the American Foodie for Eater β€” how the word evolved from a ubiquitous, throwaway phrase to signify taste to a pejorative. It’s a historical survey, from Julia Child and Top Chef to the food influencer era, and a good hard look at how we got here. β€œOn the internet, we live and die by our superlatives,” writes Saxena. β€œThat has created a significant shift in food culture, the need for everything to be a promise of a superior experience.”

Quinces were half-forgotten, and are now half-wizened.

I think I can salvage them to be poached.

I feel like there is a lesson here…

Think of the competition/comparable titles.

How many books are out there on l’art de la confiture ? The French have a very particular way of looking at preserving fruit, and how it impacts eating culture. Un petit soupΓ§on de confitures aux abricots ici, des framboises lΓ .
