I genuinely love writing HTML. I love when the tags are perfectly nested. I love self-closing tags on a single line. I love writing <header class="global">

23.10.2025 21:15 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Just tried to drop a WEBP image into a Google doc and got hit with an "unsupported image type" error.
Sorry...Google doesn't...it doesn't support the image type that...that they invented?
I can't figure out where the "C" is supposed to be

04.10.2025 01:53 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think it just highlights that Typescript was never really *meant* for websites (which is a shame)
03.10.2025 19:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's honestly hilarious how many packages are required to compile a bunch of Typescript files into one main.min.js file you can use in the browser
03.10.2025 19:50 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Incredibly frustrating when you've spent the last 15+ years learning accessibility, performance, and UX as dogma only for every modern website to be a slow bloated mess
01.10.2025 19:40 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It can also be helpful if I'm dithering on a semantics choice, like "should I use a <nav> or a <menu>"? I'll ask it what the best practices are and it'll give an answer explaining its reasoning, and that can be helpful in getting my perfectionist ass to make a choice
01.10.2025 19:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Autocomplete on CSS is *terrible* though. In general the autocomplete is super annoying.
01.10.2025 19:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I use Copilot and find it very helpful in fixing small problems that I'd need to look at a bunch of docs to fix (hello Typescript errors). Also good at automating tedious tasks (building HTML for navs, etc). But you have to use it in tiny amounts, it can't *just build* something for you.
