Das Glossar "Doing Digital Utopia" hat einen neuen Eintrag bekommen. Statt den Hypes des Silicon Valleys zu folgen, sollten wir den Allmachtsfantasien des Silicon Valleys trotzen.

Es ging nie um die Hochschulen, nie um Wissenschaft, nie um die Freiheit von Forschung und Lehre. Es ging immer schon darum, mit rechtem Kulturkampf Stimmung zu machen, die immer gleichen reaktionären Diskursmuster endlos zu recyclen, mit den immer gleichen Anekdoten Clicks zu generieren

Unbedingt zu empfehlen. Bei @annanosthoff.bsky.social und @fmaschewski.bsky.social kann man eigentlich nie was falsch machen, wenn es um das #Digitale geht 🙂

If your organisation still feels the need to start any questioning of AI with "We recognise that AI has huge potential to help with XYZ, but.." then they're still not free of the hype. It's past the time for fake even-handedness, and the AI emperor has no clothes.

Ich bin ja nur sporadisch im "deutschen Stadtbild" unterwegs, dafür dann an diversen Orten. Mir fällt vor allem auf, wieviele Städte eine offene Drogenszene und ein Riesenproblem mit Obdachlosigkeit haben. Es wirkt, als stünden kranke und verarmte Menschen mittlerweile sozialpolitisch ohne Hilfe da.
