Hi, I am Max and I am working on a fully accessible 2D pixel-art platformer called Gaia, about my daughter, Greek Mythology and pollution. Recently I have been working on the #Poseidon level

Interesting, I must say I haven't played a lot of visual novels. The idea definitely has appeal.

Got some nice progress going today on the Poseidon level for Gaia. Made a very icky tileset I guess, but at least we can use it, and we got the parallax effect working. It is very subtle but I like it. More work needs to be done for sure. #indiedev #gamedev

New level design for Poseidon, The colors are yellowish for the sky, dithering used to create a slow change in color, a dying sun that you see going into the water, mountains that are along the line of sight at the end of the water with snowy slopes using a heavy dithering effect to simulate fading snow towards the bottom. These still need to be less rectangular but I like how they look. Water reflecting using dithering as well, which will be more smooth in Unity, because it will be using the shader. All in all the entire scene uses only 7 colors.

A quick update from the recent streams and I have been struggling because Poseidon himself seemed to want to destroy my water shader. I fixed it and this gave me the chance to make a new scene for Poseidon. I designed it first (first screenshot) added it to Unity next. #indiedev
