DOGE is reportedly threatening NOAA with massive staff and budget cuts.

NOAA houses the National Weather Service and National Hurricane Center, which produce forecasts and warn people about storms.

This attack on public safety is ripped straight from the pages of Project 2025.

The U.S. #NationalWeatherService, housed within #NOAA, is a truly world-class meteorological predictive service, perhaps singularly so. It costs only ~$3/yr per taxpayer, & yields ~10:1 return on investment--saving economy 10s-100s of billions, not to mention thousands of lives.

Losing NOAA would be devastating. Project 2025 authors want to get rid of it because it monitors climate change, and privatize the information it currently provides for free, so you'll have to buy information about the weather and the winds (imperative for mariners).

The Senate should reject Russell Vought’s nomination to be Director at OMB - CREW | Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington Russell Vought should not be confirmed as Director at OMB since he was a central figure in attempting to implement Schedule F.

Trump team is sabotaging our government. OMB nominee Russell Vought has said he wants to put career civil servants “in trauma,” so that when “they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work because they are increasingly viewed as the villains.” Why? Privatize and monetize!
