The best part of playing assassin in #FaBTCG is it’s giving me the same feeling I enjoy in fighting games: namely characters with 50/50s that force your opponents to guess. But a lot of times you can lead them into guessing wrong

Played my first competitive FaB event in a long while (a 3-ish month hiatus). Went 3-3 on Slippy and had a fantastic time

I’ve handed off my judge duties, given away a lot of my cards, and stepped back from upcoming competitive events I was gonna head to. I hope everyone continues to have fun.

Of my life and hobbies for a long time. I know when the design philosophy seems to have shifted, and it feels bad to be able to notice exactly when the game started dying for me. I’m still going to pay attention as stuff comes out. Maybe one day I’ll be pleasantly surprised. But today just isn’t it.

Incremental advantage and careful play or being able to claw your way back into the game. I know nobody really cares, and that I’m nobody important for the game, but I have been a “core” (apparently, as I’ve been told) member of my community for a few years now. So it feels bad. It was a big part—

See this is how I’ve felt about the game since Iyslander LL’d. Gravy is the first time I’ve had a deck that’s made me want to play the game again. I didn’t realize that that was a years-long limbo for me until recently. It’s not a great feeling, and I get why It puts people off

I’m not the only one!! Furthest I’ve gotten is the start of act 3, then it’s like “ooh but what if I was a tormented Warlock instead of a righteous Paladin?” Of course they’re all Tieflings, but what’re you gonna do?

Hmmm. It’s felt more like UPR for me, personally? But I don’t think your comparison is a bad one. Maybe I’m biased because I enjoy the boardstate hero quite a lot, and many of my locals play his counters (Dori, Ira, Katsu, etc.) weekly

I’m a bit disappointed with my play, the deck definitely bailed me out a few times.

R1: Great game vs @lowercayce.bsky.social on Slippy. Came down to the wire, she took it home. Very stoked with the game, and know the move that lost me the game.

R2: Great game vs Puffin. I sideboarded too many Allies. One block off from fatiguing.

I agree that there is a better one, absolutely. Probably should have just had it pass down. However, in lieu of anything else I’ll take half a loaf instead of none at all
