In Warwickshire, 18-year-old Reform councillor George Finch has become council leader after the Reform leader of just six weeks stood down over โill healthโ. Cllr Finch is listed as an online tutor with the company โSuperprofโ, charging ยฃ15 an hour for his education services. โIโm 18 turning 19, I have just finished A-Level and I know what you need to pass your exams, the Knowledge is [sic] the most important area of A-Level or GCSEโs.โ โ[I] specialise in Tudor History, Cold War, USA politics, UK politics and many other areas in history too,โ the profile adds. The work is not listed on his council declaration of interests. It is possible he hasnโt earned any money from it. If he has however, he may have broken the rules on failing to declare financial interests. (This outlet put the tutoring questions to Cllr Finch but has not yet received a reply). Byline Times understands that Cllr Finch plans โ or had planned โ to return to university in the East Midlands in September for his second year of studies.
So it's confirmed. Teenager George Finch is now the permanent Reform leader of Warwickshire council. His predecessor stood down just weeks after winning power, supposedly over health issues.
I wrote a bit about him recently for @bylinetimes.bsky.social

They think their only hope is that it comes to an election & we see that it is them or Reform. And that for all our big talk about hating them, we'll still vote for them to keep out Reform.
Starmer will not revoke his red lines on Freedom of Movement and the Single Market because of facts and reasons. The only thing that will move him is Labour voters shifting in large numbers to the LibDems and Greens in local and by-elections. He must fear progressives more than Brexiters.
