Ed is standing in front of Samantha's bed in her room spraying around the bed.

Ed is standing next to Samantha's bed, looking very confident. An in game mood buff reads "Confident +2. And Stay Out! (From Vanquishing The Monster Under The Bed). Oh yeah, Edward sure showed that monster what's what! That should keep them away for a while."

Samantha, from outside the door: Is it gone?
Ed: Oh yeah, wrecked their shit. They'll think twice about coming back here that's for sure!

Ed is standing in the dining room with flaming eyes like the pure black chickens in the pen. An in game buff reads "Angry +3. Dark Chicken (From Eating Food Made with an Obsidian Egg). The evil forces of an obsidian nature surge through Edward's body. There's only one goal: Serve the Chicken. Obey Charles. Be Evil. Wait that's three... Ends in 2 hours."

Who the hell is Charles??? 🐔

Stede pushes Samantha on the swing, Ed swings beside her grinning.

Clearly giving them a swing set was a good choice. 😌

Ed: He's just jealous. He'll get over it, you'll see.
Stede, from the window: I heard that!
Ed: See? He's fine!

Stede, Ed, and Samantha are conversing on the back porch. Stede and Ed's backs are to the viewer. Ed is looking at Stede with a smug expression. An in game buff for Ed reads "Happy +1 Boosting: Confident. Forever the Favorite! (From Declared Favorite) Edward has always known his status as the favorite, but the validation is still just as satisfying! 2 hours left." An in game buff for Stede reads "Sad +1. Not the Favorite? (From Declared Favorite) But... but... why can't Stede be the favorite? What did he do wrong? Ends in 8 minutes."

Samantha is not above ranking her parents, and Ed comes out on top.
Ed: *I'm* the favorite. 😏
Stede: It's not a competition Ed. (Secretly hurt about it)

Samantha is sitting at a writing desk doing her homework. Ed looks on with a worried look on his face.

Ed never really had a formal education, his mom taught him to read, write, and count. Everything else he learned on the job, so seeing what kids actually have to do for school work is intimidating...

Another birthday for Samantha! This one was a bit lackluster, Stede's energy was in the red, so he helped her blow out the candles and immediately went to bed.
Samantha: Dad didn't want cake?
Ed: Eh, more for us.

Kia the cat on Samantha's bed, head raised skyward yowling. She is surrounded by little hearts, so it's a love song I guess.

Kia sings the ancient song of her people, "I Can See The Bottom Of My Food Dish (My Humans Want Me To Starve)" Not to be confused with such other timeless hits as "Pet My Fluffy Tummy (No, Not Like That)", and "Running Through The House (I Just Took A Dump)".

Ed is standing in front of Stede with a finger to his lips looking off to the side in thought. An in game dialog reads "Aww! How Sweet! Edward really appreciated receiving such kind attention from Stede just now. That affection made him feel extra special! Does this mean Edward particularly Likes Affection?"

You can make a show of considering it all you want Ed, we all know it to be true. 😑

Stede looks very unsure, he looks away from Samantha and seems to be feeling very awkward about the question and how to answer it. An ingame prompt shows a little directive that says "Be Asked Why".

I don't know what Samantha asked him, but it caused a visible conundrum in Stede's brain.

Stede stands back and studies his flower arrangement, hand on his chin in thought.

No one may have seen you tuck that germy flower into the bouquet, but I'll always know you did that. 😑

Stede is finally getting around to testing his skills at flower arranging after ages of the table collecting dust in the shed. He may have been unprepared for perils of pollen.

Kia the cat on a red sofa. Samantha stands in front of the sofa behind her smiling with her hands clasped in front of her. Kia is pointedly looking away from Samantha, her eyes wide, but one ear is cocked in her direction listening.

Kia is hoping that if she just ignores the child, it will simply go away. This is not the case and Kia was instead serenaded by Samantha attempting to make cat noises at her for several minutes.

Ed is potty training Samantha. He's standing to her left offering encouragement while she does her business. He looks a little too excited about this to be honest.

There is a puddle on the floor beside the little chamber pot. Samantha is hobbling away while Ed gestures at the mess on the floor. He is no longer excited about any of this.

Ah, the ups and downs of potty training...

Samantha crouches down and gently pats Kia on the head. Kia allows this, but she looks irritated about it.

Kia allows Samantha to pet her, but she's not happy about it. She was here first after all.

Samantha is laying in bed with the covers up to her chin. Stede is sitting on the bed dramatically reading her a story, arms outstretched for emphasis.

Stede gives Samantha a goodnight kiss.

Stede does actually like spending time with his daughter too! He does dramatic bedtime story readings and makes sure she's all tucked in for the night.

Ed is crouched with Samantha on his back. Both of them have their arms outstretched like birds soaring through the sky. Ed is looking over his shoulder at Samantha saying something to her. Samantha is having a blast.

Ed: Okay kiddo. We're a pair of seagulls, there's a british navy commander right below us, and we need to shit on him.

Probably the wrong thing to tell a toddler that isn't potty trained yet Ed. 😅

It's Samantha's Birthday! Finally! No more infant life stage! I have given her the Angelic trait because life is easier that way.

It's evening, Ed is standing in the chicken pen with a baby chick in his hands. He's so delighted his one foot has popped up.

His little foot pop! 😭 Ed should be allowed to just lay in the chicken pen and have a bunch of baby chicks just take a nap on him. Someone good at art should make this happen.

I used a cheat to spawn more chickens after a bunch of them died before they could finish hatching some eggs and the game gave me a demonic chicken. I've been instructed to name her "Bwakbeard".
