Don't forget egotistical. We want to be fair and balanced.

They should just cancel private flights and let the humble masses fly as usual. Same result, but the rich would be inconvenienced, not us. Hmm. That may be why they are not doing that.

Remind her than healthy have a balance of power. Where this is power imbalance, red flags fly. At his age, he should have financial independence and autonomy she likely does not. Has she considered how that affects their dynamic? Ask the questions and tell her the answers are for her, not you.

Nope. Until restaurants improve indoor quality (like the Apricot Tree Cafe in Canada did), some of us who are still COVID cautious are staying home. I miss eating out. I also value my health too much to pretend the pandemic is over.

Thank you so much to the countless people supporting us in every way and in particular all of the Rutgers students and faculty who have supported us every step of the way.

β€œSomeone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation β€˜disappeared.’

For reals. As a result, we get to enjoy the amazing adults they have become.

We'll keep your secrets. Meanwhile, kudos to all the great parents who are a safe resource of factual, non-judgemental information. If our kids (at any age) can come to us for anything and get support, we have done our job right.

Absolutely. And my now-adult kids still come to me with questions that may venture into TMI... but they know I give them facts. No drama. No judgement. Just facts. And if I do not have the answers, I point them to where to get them. It's an honor to have earned that trust.

Well, the learning styles stuff got debunked awhile ago, but we absolutely have preferences. Steve's love affair with maps is one thousand percent legit for so many reasons.

I'm rereading again. Steve's love affair with maps and how much they tell him. It resonates. Something I never would have thought of, but very grounded in his background with his artistic appreciation as gravy.

And how can I forget the bit where Sam offered to carry Nat's purse. So like Sam to find a way to tell a person he SEES them and values them.

I still read Nat shutting down Donnie's march to the White House to make me feel better. Seeing Bucky and Nat dance with the first Black ballet dancer Misty Copeland made my soul happy as it was just so genuinely nice and authentic, not forced. I love watching Darcie get underestimated...

Anyone who has ever thought the local cops will ever interfere with ICE deportations on behalf of their own communities is a daydreaming fool.

State power is not on your side, and the people who enforce it are traitors to their communities.

Pope Francis bestowed a special nickname on AP's Vatican reporter for her often-tough questions Associated Press reporter Nicole Winfield, who covered Pope Francis at the Vatican during his entire pontificate, earned the nickname β€œla prima della classe” -- or β€œthe first in class” -- from him in ...

The AP’s Nicole Winfield says Francis’s nickname for her – β€œla prima della classe” – wasn’t necessarily a compliment. It was, in fact, the greatest compliment. Wonderful piece that offers much insight into Francis, the Vatican and reporter-pope relations (free to read)
