There's a bit of spectrum one way or the other, but I kinda wish they had either condensed violet's backstory, or developed it better as the main thing. Honestly, the former would make for a better show, imo. All of the best episodes are self-contained stories of her travels

Rewatching Violet Evergarden, and my main issue with this series is that some episodes beautifully hit you with the full brunt of the tragic human experience
