after my #defcon33 talk, many folks approached me asking a bunch of questions, and that was fantastic.

What was unexpected to me was how utterly emotionally drained I was after the talk.

If you saw my talk @defcon and have feedback, I'd really love it. even if it's not great.

It's much better. LVCC west eliminates all the going back and forth to get between different villages, main track talks, etc. Everything is walkable and under one roof.

Use of 430-440 MHz by AST SpaceMobile constellation AST & Science LLC (AST SpaceMobile) currently have five Bluebird commercial satellites that use the amateur radio 430-440 MHz band. They were launched into Low Earth Orbit on September 12, 2024…

AST is trying to ruin the 70cm band. FCC comment period ends TODAY (July 21). Note you have to submit your name and address to enter your comment into record. You don't need to be a ham, but you do have to be in the US.

This is where communication hobbies really shine. Amateur radio will work to get communications going where nothing else will.

In oppressive regimes it will let you communicate, bypass censorship, share unfiltered information, and possibly connect with international aid.
