We’ve been doing a bit of community under-tree planting — trying to brighten up the street with some greenery.💐🌻🌺

But a few weeks in… & someone has dug up all but one of the plants.

WHO DOES THAT?! 🤯

Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips for deterring plant thieves before I replant?

It’s brilliant to see so many wheels stored in the scooter park during #WalkToSchool week.

There’s been a lot in the press about #LTNs recently, but as a regular user, I can honestly say they’re revolutionary — esp for families like mine who don’t own a car & rely on bikes, walking & public transport to get about.

Safer streets have made choosing car-free alternatives so much easier.

Spent some of the weekend baking! 🧑‍🍳

Tried some lower-sugar recipes for muffins and banana bread—they still taste great!

I’ve also sliced up the cake & chocolate bars & stashed them in the freezer, along with the muffins. That way, they’ll stay fresh and be ready to enjoy over the next few weeks. 😋

Using a bike to get from A-B is highly efficient & effective.

If you don’t already, I’d highly recommend giving it a go. Today:

🚲 10.2k to work: 40mins
🚲 14k from work to school: 45mins
🚲 4k from school to football: 15mins
🚲 3k from football to home: 12mins

✅Cost: £0
✅Traffic jams: 0
✅Stress: 0

Great to see so many people out enjoying the new underpass and making the most of the route to the marshes.

I take out temp insurance when I borrow, which is on top of the cover the owner has in place. I usually go via Veygo or RAC.

Well generally. I either go via Veygo or RAC temporarily cover.

I live on a street where car sharing is becoming the norm.

3 families own cars, & 3 don’t—the ones without borrow from the ones who do.

We:
🗣️ Ask in advance
🪙 Chip in for wear and tear
⛽️ Replace the petrol we use

It’s great—fewer cars on the street & more active travel.

Most cars sit parked 95% of the time. Neighbour car sharing means borrowing a car when you need it:

Today, Haringey councillors, the Deputy Head of Parks & Recreation from City Hall gathered in Bruce Castle Park to announce at least £250k in funding for improvements to the playground! This is part of a £1.8m investment to enhance 8 parks across Haringey. 🎉1/2
