Your eyes are not deceiving you. While I stripped everything I didn’t need off my bike, this father carried a whole extra little human, in a trailer, up to Hurricane Ridge. And I got this shot because he passed me on the climb (multiple times due to rest stops). Humans are wild.

I don't know which was more difficult, the Ride the Hurricane or the Seattle to Portland (STP) ride. Though both rewarding.

Got here and did not annoy the neighbors of the bike path with brrrrrraaaapppp sounds as so many of the cars going by did.

Big thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate the opening of the new Alaskan Way bike lane, connecting the Waterfront to the Elliott Bay Trail!

This is a huge step toward a seamless, protected route from Alki to Magnolia.

Gratitude to all the advocates who helped make this vision real.

Yesterday was a new bike day for me! I'll be calling this Colonel Mustard, it's a fun All-City Super Professional set up as a single speed, some wider tires, and with a front basket. It'll be a great fair weather commuter bike.

(Yes it's my second Super Pro, it's a great bike!)

I checked out the newly opened playground and public space at Waterfront Park while giving my brain a breather in this sunshine. More public space on the Waterfront is good
