Some of the first games ever made were text based adventures.

Zorg is dead, all hail Zorg.

He died as he lived, draped in the arms of another man.

Bold of you to presume there will ever be another president.

So I've decided I'm going to play through all of the expansion content, and get the whole story! It's gonna be a task, and I may die in the process, but check back here for updates as i do.

Thankfully, the neat people at Blizzard have added a neat Time Jumping feature that allows you to replay any of the previous expansion stories!

The last expansion I played was Lich King.And honestly I didn't get too far in Northrend. Hell I barely made it out of the Badlands if I'm being honest...

I've missed so much- so many expansions, so adventure, and dungeons, and raids, I don't know what to do or where to go.

There is a mission the game points you in the direction of that's the intended next step...but there are just so many characters I have no connection to.

The starting area is a lot of fun, I get to explore an island, delve into a spider cave, and rescue my comrades.

I leave the place feeling invigorated and ready to take on the next thing...and then I hit the Orgimmar and I realize...so much has changed...and I don't know where to start.

I chose a Tauren Paladin, because it matches my hypothetical fursona, and hit play.

The new player experience has been streamlined and polished to a very nice even finish.

I'm put straight into the action, I don't feel overwhelmed with the things being thrown at me, and I'm actually having fun!

Upon booting up WoW Retail in 2025, I'm met with something I didn't have in classic: choices. Dwarf Shaman? Wargan Hunter? Tauren Paladin? Dream it, write it, do it.

Suffice it to say I was skeptical when a good friend of mine suggested we play together. I have trauma from friends leaving me behind in these kinds of games, but that's another 🧵 for another day.

I'm actually super glad I took him up on that offer.

I'm not sure how we did it. Playing for hours upon hours just to level up a character once or twice. The running back and forth between quest objectives. The tedious combat. When I revisited Classic in 2022 I leveled a Gnome Warlock to 15 before I called the whole thing quits.

The last time I picked up World of Warcraft was about 3 years ago. I got it in my head to make a video asking the question: "is WoW as fun as I remember?

The answer is "No." at least for WoW classic.

Pre-haircut jitters

In retrospect those aren't exactly exclusive anymore, since a lot of those are now playable on PC. But they were released as exclusives.

God of War (2018), and 🔥GoW⛓️ Ragnarok were both very good games.

Demon Souls was a good remake which I enjoyed quite a bit.

The Final Fantasy 7 remakes are super cool and the Marvel Spiderman games are some of the best ever made IMO.

From what I remember reading it was a member of staff that had copied the game and brought it home with him.

But now I can't find the article so that's either been scrubbed or just a rumor now.

It's wild man if it wasn't for piracy the source code for FF8 would have been lost forever.
