that's why i framed it in the context of evangelicalism. i don't know any that would call what they believe a religion. even the mainline denom i was raised in resisted it. it's usually in contrast to the RCC bc rituals, works, etc and no "relationship w/ God" make it a "religion"

i think it would be fair to put Orthodox Christianity in similar category. i'd have to think about how/if that's articulated anywhere, just a feeling at this point

valentine's day was weird this year. i was sad because i miss having a partner but it was also a relief in that i wasn't stressed about letting anyone down. i also spent the weekend with my family and my nephews are always a source of joy.
