Biden pardoned son while leaving hundreds seeking clemency in limbo President Bidenโ€™s historic one-day clemency act included commutations that sparked outrage, in part because the White House skipped normal vetting procedures.

Accurately quoted, and this is a great news piece:

That's a weird take. If you listen to the actual interview, I defend Biden's grant to CARES Act people after they quoted Amy Klobuchar's criticism of what Biden did. Here is the segment:

She's one of 18,000 people waiting for a presidential pardon. She knows an answer may take years. "Everywhere I go there will be background checks and I don't want that to be a hindrance for my future," one woman says.

Here is a 2021 story about Sarah Carlson, our client who got a pardon:

I am happy about Biden's pardons and commutations today. There must be more,. BUT... the CARES group is good, and one of the groups that @rachelbarkow.bsky.social and I described in our NYT op-ed. Also, one of my UST clinic clients received a pardon based on the great work of student Jessica Ally.

As Joe Biden pardons his son, politicized justice is a rising concern A blanket pardon for the presidentโ€™s son, Hunter Biden, comes amid wider signs that federal justice isnโ€™t immune from the political divisiveness that has gripped Americaโ€™s public square.

As I see more and more outraged takes on the Hunter pardon, just want to re-up this.

Basically, I think @rachelbarkow.bsky.social and @markosler.bsky.social should have sole possession of the floor.

We should all be more outraged by the pardons we DON'T see than the ones we do.
