The UK has a list of protected jobs that if you do those jobs won't count towards your application. Deliveroo et al is not one of them. Instead we ask them to live on £50 a week making them susceptible to criminal elements. It's a failing of the immigration system and its delays.

In regards to your segment on ID cards, I've been out as a trans woman for 12yrs, and my passport and all other docs are in my gender (F). Under this regime there will be a push to issue my ID card as Male and certain groups will push for it to be checked on entry to toilets.

I'd go back to me at 12 and tell him it's gonna be ok and to transition now in 1982 because you'll eventually transition in 2015 anyway, but it'll feel way too late despite it feeling 100% you.
