Ours is part of the heat-recovery ventilation system that was built into our house. Bathroom exhaust fans boost the baseline exhaust and can be set for 20, 40 or 60 minutes.

I'd like to choose something more local. Our government has guaranteed they'll fund universal school lunches, but it hasn't quite reached execution yet. And we have a large population of unhoused folks in my community. Times are tough all over. 🥺

For HCWs, having the opportunity to soften the edges of certain death for both patient and family can mitigate a lot of moral distress and prevent burnout. It's one of those everybody-benefits situations.

My grandfather was 100% Irish. He was both a drinker and a smoker. When he learned he had end-stage lung cancer, he gave up both. He had a few near-misses but managed to hang on until March 17th. He never got a last sip of uisce beatha before he died. He was just 3 weeks short of 51 years old. 🥺

I passed a big one at work on a day when I was assigned a patient with an open sternum who was also on CRRT. I got some ibuprofen and 20 minutes in the break room while the nausea subsided. I'm glad you got appropriate analgesia. Now drink a big glass of water with a water chaser. 😉

It's an obvious metaphor. The Dodgers are a group of individuals playing their own games on one field. The Jays are a TEAM... working together toward a common goal. Caring about each other & everyone in their sphere is a Canadian trait. The fact that Vladdy is an actual Canadian doesn't matter.

I've been retired for 6 years, and I STILL have those dreams. Another one is that I'm really late and can't find the scrubs dispenser, so I go on an odyssey around the hospital looking for it.

This is when you know it's not considered "the job." She is doing something money can't buy, and doing it with great love. ❤️
