Finally, Muente notes that shifting to UDL is a slow but worthwhile process, and UDL cannot transform inquiry-based instruction unless teachers value the engagement of all learners in the inquiry process and believe all students can learn through inquiry.

The three UDL guidelines are outlined udlguidelines.cast.org along with an explanation of how differentiation plays into planning as well. She also provides a UDL chart that serves as a checklist teachers can integrate into the lesson plan.
