I have been very fortunate to find a regular group of starlings murmurating along my journey home from work. They've really been brightening up the dark evenings for me with the stunning patterns they make while flying π

I carved out the stars and am using a UV light while I inlay fluorescent rocks into this wood slice painting. (Second photo shows the rocks lit up with the UV light!)

Crochet teddy bear astronaut sitting beside a crochet telescope. The teddy bear is wearing an orange suit with a star on the suit. The bear looks happy
Crochet teddy bear astronaut. The teddy bear is wearing an orange space suit with an air supply on his back. He has big round ears on top of his head which are moulded into the helmet. There is a yellow star on the chest of the space suit. The teddy has blue eyes and appears to be smiling
Attending a baby shower tomorrow for a colleague. We've worked together on our charity's space content for schools so my gift to her is this teddy bear astronaut!
I made this pattern up as I went along and used scheepjes yarn. π§Άπ»πͺππ©βπ

Thank you! I made that choice partly so it's a bit longer and yeah, more quilt shape, but also I prefer how it looks visually rather than directly on top of each other

Thank you! It's tunisian crochet. I actually made a first attempt with C2C but the blocks were very big and too dense so I rethought the whole project! π€£ here is a comparison photo and how far I got in the C2C journey!

Aoife sitting on the ground cross legged. In front of her is a large blanket.. the blanket is the Periodic Table of the Elements. It is made out of yarn and is full of color. The different groups of the table are each done in their own colour. From left to right...Hydrogen is red. Alkali Metals are deep green. Alkaline earth metals are orange. Transition metals are turquoise blue. Post transition metals are purple. Metalloids are yellow. Reactive non metals are deep grey blue. Halogens are burgundy red. Noble gases are neon green. On the bottom Lanthanoids are pink and below them are the Actinoids in sage green.
3.5 years ago I decided I wanted to make a crochet Periodic Table of the Elements.... and now here I am... having succeeded!
I still have a white border to add but so so close to having this blanket and massive project fully finished!
