At the risk of talking ill of the dead, he was a racist, misogynist, hateful, vile man. I feel bad for his family, but hateful rhetoric invites more hate. Painting him as a saintly Christian is more than I can stomach.

The most truthful thing I've seen in response to people saying that Charlie Kirk engaged in polite debate is that you may talk in a polite way and still say things that are not at all polite. That's what he did.

But that sun was an amazing shade of red this morning. It took my breath away.

A lot of us saw it coming. I tried to tell people on FB. You would be surprised how many people I thought were smart people told me I was being dramatic or overreacting. I think people didn't want to think it could happen here. Many had too much faith in our "checks and balances."

I've been boycotting Target for their DEI stance. I've never shopped at Walmart because they're anti public education. I wish I could find a store similar to Target. It used to be my favorite.

The other 5 out of 6 that don't have a second job most likely coach or advise after school clubs or tutoring to supplement their income.
