WASHINGTON - Following the killing of AFGE Member Alex Pretti and the subsequent slanderous rhetoric that followed from top Trump administration officials, AFGE National President Everett Kelley issued the following statement:
"Yesterday, AFGE brought together labor and faith leaders from Minneapolis and across the nation to mourn our fallen brother from Local 3669, Alex Pretti. We honored his life and legacy and lifted up his family, his friends, his union, Minneapolis, and our nation in prayer.
"Today, we demand accountability.
"In the immediate aftermath of Alex's killing, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem betrayed the public trust by slandering the good name of our union brother and calling him a
"domestic terrorist." Alex Pretti was a patriotic ICU nurse at a VA hospital who devoted his life to serving America's veterans. That claim was reckless, defamatory, and unsupported by the facts. Noem was preceded in this false statement by Stephen Miller, Deputy White House Chief of Staff, who is also the architect of the chaotic and failed immigration policy in Minnesota.
"Our demand is clear: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who was responsible for carrying out the policy that led to Alex's needless killing, and Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, the architect of that policy, must resign immediately. If they refuse, President Trump must dismiss them.

The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents border patrol officers at the National Border Patrol Council, calls on Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller to resign or be fired

Bovino is just the patsy - a noxious and odious fall guy. Stephen Miller is the architect and prime mover of the whole thing. Everything they do is at his direction - often after his threats. As long as he runs policy in the WH, nothing will change no matter how many Bovinos come and go.

@gluesenkampperez.house.gov The blood of today's murder by ICE agents is on your hands. How in the hell could you vote to support this?

@gluesenkampperez.house.gov Once again, you have shown WA residents that you don't deserve to be in Congress. I'm disgusted that you voted to fund ICE. You should be ashamed.

Avelo's comment on why they are stopping ICE deportation flights. Im disgusted that they couldn't just say they weren't going to do it anymore because it is WRONG. Shame on you, Avelo.

I don't feel like some of our Dem members are fighting as hard as they can. We tend to stand back and wait for republicans to act properly. That tactic isn't working. No more sitting on our thumbs or strongly worded letters. We need something with teeth.

19.01.2026 23:29 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

And the point is.......

19.01.2026 23:27 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Reading is fundamental. The post with the article says its time for Republicans to intervene. My point is it is not just time for Republican members, Democrat members need to do more than post and write letters. If you bothered to look, I'm most definitely not a trumper. You're an ass.
