Older guy, stuck in the middle, too old to work, too young to step off this mortal coil. If you are hiding behind a nom de plume & indulge in playground slurs, expect to be blocked. Life's too short to bother with your BS. I don't DM

Wonderful to think about, however, the reality is that this would be considered an act of war with a very real risk of military retaliation including nukes. This would be an international crisis of historic proportions.

Years ago, a friend was retired from foreign affaires once told me that with emails, sat phones, cellphones, fax, texting, telephone, VoIP, video teleconferencing, & that a person could be anywhere in the world within 24 hours, they could downsize embassies to just 2 clerks to do paperwork.

47% of Republicans would still vote for Trump even if implicated in Epstein's crimes, survey found A majority of GOP voters said they would either stand by Trump or weren't sure, even if he were officially linked to the late sex offender's crimes.

And yet 47% would still vote for this pedophile felon...

I wouldn't visit Germany in 1933 when Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor, why the hell would I visit the once United States in 2025 with the wannabe dictator in the White House?

Never be afraid of the person who has a library of books and regularly reads. The one to fear is the person who only has one book, considers that book sacred, but has never read it.

What is truly mindboggling is that 47% of Republicans say they still support DonOLD even if he is in the Epstein files.

Ebike rider gets into an accident. Police officer inspects the electronic display and looks at the highest recorded speed. Ebike rider gets charged if over the limit.

Board cop sits at the base of a hill where ebikes are known to ride & uses radar on them. Rider gets charged.

Back in the early eighties, I worked in corporate security for a large defense contractor. During that time, I knew several former senior ranking military officers who were employed as lobbyists. They were the kind of people who would make you want to wash your hands after shaking theirs. Slime.

In my opinion, a person is nothing but a mercenary when that person takes their pension from a high-ranking government position, then goes to work as a lobbyist for a company trying to sell product to his/her former government department.

2028? Good luck with that.

Most recent Trump approval rating from The Economist (July 30, 2025):

* Unfavorable: 55%
* Favorable: 40%
* Not sure: 4%

Ranked 41st overall out of 44 presidents in a C-SPAN survey of 142 historians, professors and other professional observers of the presidency.

I remember when this happened and how the families of these people got screwed over by insurance firms refusing payouts. I also remember how it took the CDS getting involved to straighten it out and get the payouts to the families.

I suspect that opportunities for future television and movie roles, production work, hosting and television appearances will all dry up. Once this happens, you can expect the poor little me whining to begin when he is blacklisted.

Karma has a way of dealing with Hollywood fools like Mr. Cain.

I think what should happen is that all senior members of the federal government, regardless of their department, should be barred from acting as lobbyists for large corporations. These guys who retire early, collect a pension & get paid to use their contacts is, in my view, a conflict of interest.

Lockheed Martin has a sizable lobbing presence in Ottawa. In 2024, they spent $2,980,000.00 trying to convince the military they have the best product.

Their head lobbyist is General (Ret) Colin Keiver, former Deputy Commander, RCAF and Director General Air and Space Force Development, RCAF.
