I do have some notes already, but you are right it could be more nuanced to capture what is in my brain.

I might also try out excalidraw in Obsidian or use mermaid UML to describe parts the game loop.

How do yall approach concept art for 2D / small games?

I'm torn between:
1) Diving straight into code (my happy place)
2) Making rough sketches first
3) Using some tool I don't know about yet

I like open-source, dev-friendly tools with config files not GUI stuff.
Any recommendations?

One thing I love about game jams is they push me to ship something. ⏱️

I feel like some ppl don't get into jams because "the theme doesn't match what I want to build"
Anyone recommend any "build whatever you want" jams that still have that motivating time constraint?
