When did "on" replace other prepositions like "by" and "in" everywhere?
"It happened by accident" is now "it happened on accident"
"Waiting in line" (as in physically standing behind and/or in front of people) is now "waiting on line".
It's not just the netgens -it's creeping into boomer speak.

            Old guys playing a rich man's game, wearing expensive watches, complaining about giving their kids (a lot of) money a down payment because housing prices have outpaced salaries mostly due to a generation of these same guys pumping real estate.
