01.09.2025 06:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0With so many big names it is surprising The Thursday Murder Club is the appallingly bad movie it is. Gross ham acting, wooden dialogue, and a ludicrous plot. Iβve seen more convincing episodes of Midsomer Murders. (And that is a very low bar!)
31.08.2025 15:31 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It is worth tracking the Tiffany Aching sequence through from Wee Free Men to its magical culmination in the Shepherdβs Crown which radiates humanity, truth and beauty in TPβs richly idiosyncratic way. These titles may have stated for younger readers, but morph into one of his finest achievements.

Can I have the edition with the rude words please.
06.08.2025 12:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Padraig Kenny βTinβ; Christopher Edge βSpace Oddityβ. Fit reasonably close to your brief I think. Then perhaps on to βPogβ. Philip Reeve βMortal Enginesβ is unmissable if not too old.

02.07.2025 09:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Great fantasy read at any price.
28.06.2025 12:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It has to be Seamus Heaney - unless I go right back to W B Yeats. (And not even Irish.)

27.06.2025 06:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The very best of British writing (for children) is brilliant stuff, and this is an example of its brilliant best. Richly multi-layered it is also a deeply engaging story. It really does burn bright. Donβt miss it US.
