Wristbands were handed out before tickets were scanned, mercifully the security team had given up attempting to do nah searches.

We got inside ~15mins after the performance was scheduled to start with a large swarm still behind us and massive queues for food & drinks ahead of us. 5/

The ticket once added to the Apple wallet had no QR code. You had to go back into their stupid app to get that version.

Some poor lass was tasked with repeating instructions to the swarm through a faulty PA that delivered broken sound to open the app to access the scannable tickets. 4/

I refused multiple requests for push notifications because fuck them.

Then we arrived at the venue to a massive slow moving swarm of people waiting to get in, so large it took some time to even figure out which part of the swarm we needed to be in. 3/

I could only access the tickets I paid for by downloading the promoter’s app (AXS), creating an account on their stupid app, which was blocked until I turned off my VPN.

I was then forced to verify both my email and phone number, add the tickets to my Apple wallet. 2/

Going to larger gigs feel like such a grubby data grab these days.
