Agree on black deck, number of hands is rarely the decider for me (I’m a lot more binary in either I’m winning confidently or failing miserably) - only got particularly challenging in last couple stakes, but I saw that in most deck types.

I’d also put it out there that I’m not an expert, more a determined grinder. This is mostly garnered from watching a lot of high level streamer content.

generally need something like hyperscaled xmult when you get to higher antes and chips can’t carry you, particularly with higher stakes and higher targets. I include it as an option because broken combos aren’t guaranteed. Also econ is your friend - rerolls are massive in looking for synergies.

Plasma is my favourite deck. Trick is go in on chips jokers early (up to ante 4 or 5), in that time, the antes run themselves. Rest of time I work on economy and finding xmult or broken combos (hanging chad, or lots of kings baron) to take you through to the big numbers. Just beware of the bosses.

Going back an ante is a bit counterintuitive, but it’s really good for your game if you want a higher score - an extra ante to build your deck can give you two or three more antes longer term.
