I still crave Lucozade when Iβm poorly, reverting to childhood.

Josh and Lily have parents who live nearby.

26.11.2025 19:18 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This librarian would only wear a fleece to work in a very cold office (and Iβd wear something smarter underneath) or for an Open Day or similar event. However it may depend on your role. If I had to spend time with dusty books Iβd wear older smart-casual clothes #TheArchers
19.11.2025 14:34 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Fleeces are practical in that they are hard to destroy in the washing machine and they dry very quickly.
Mind you, merino wool clothing dries quickly too. #TheArchers
Excellent jumper liberation incident!
19.11.2025 14:28 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm a librarian - the stereotype has us wearing cardigans. It tends to be true as they are easy to take on / off in the varying temperature zones that many libraries operate in. If you choose well they provide pockets.
I suspect Helen is more likely to wear a fleece on the farm #TheArchers
Indeed it can. I am a fangirl of katedaviesdesigns.com
If Pat knits at all I imagine she has little time (main βhobbiesβ: making soup and looking after her grandchildren) it is fairly utilitarian. If anyone at Bridge Farm crafted items of beauty theyβd sell them in the shop. #TheArchers
I trust that all listeners to #TheArchers would only read the newspaper(s) that I do.
As a Scot, naturally a neep is a turnip!

18.11.2025 19:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I donβt believe that Helen has an upmarket cardigan. Alice is much more likely to have an Underwoodβs Finest Cashmere cardi than Helen. The latter will have a hand-spun (from goat hair) hand-knitted (by Pat) cardi. #TheArchers

17.11.2025 09:14 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No sane individual would make a lengthy train journey (with several train operators) on a Sunday. βWeekend engineering worksβ and βreplacement busesβ are phrases that strike fear into the heart of any train passenger #TheArchers

16.11.2025 22:43 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0In the UK we have multiple train operators and services do not always mesh. Operators will not hold back a connection for a train from a different service. Though Scotland is all ScotRail.

Since Covid, and accidentally retiring early, my driving experience is much more local and during daylight. Really pleased that I made two solo journeys up to Scotland this year. Husband hates being driven (by anyone) so I want to keep sensibly challenging myself with medium / longer journeys.
