🚒DGS’ Snow Team pretreats & clears emergency service sites first, such as @dcfireems.bsky.social stations. DGS Director Hunter & DC Fire & EMS Chief Donnelly came together to remind residents that we ensure first responders can safely continue serving residents during winter weather.

Our DGS Snow Team continues to pretreat sidewalks, entryways, and walkways at DC government facilities, including @dchumanserv shelters and @DACL_DC senior wellness centers, ensuring safe, accessible entry.

With extreme cold temperatures, DGS is closely monitoring temperatures at @dchumanserv shelters, @dcpublicschools, and @DCDPR rec centers, providing heating measures for impacted areas. We are working to address issues that arise, including providing any necessary contingencies.

DGS’ Director Hunter joined DC's Snow Team alongside @mayorbowser.dc.gov who declared a Snow Emergency. DGS’ Snow Team remains fully deployed, pretreating all DC govt properties, including walkways at fire stations, police stations, DHS shelters, & more.
