When I was downsizing my living space 6 years ago, I sold my two sets of heavy and space consuming dishes. I bought a set of Corelle Winter White dishes. They take up so much less space and look great.

I've got the Cooking For Two by ATK and love it. Great small batch soup recipes in it so that I don't eat it for a month.

That's a great idea! I donate my not liked cookbooks to the library all the time. I've never thought of checking them out. Duh.
