Cooper's Hawk update: He escaped the nest again! But now we know where he lives, and this time he's landed in the relative safety of a neighbor friend's yard near the trees where the nest is. We rigged a hanging basket to put him in at night in her yard.
Also, he's still so cute!
It was so sweet spending time with this baby Cooper’s Hawk. I found him on the road and with the help of neighbor friends was able to put him in my birdcage. Oregon State Police Wildlife got here pretty quickly after I called, and this little one was put back in his nest.

Spring is here, but winter magic is still about, especially here in Oregon, with rain, sun, hail, daffodils, & plum blossoms, sometimes all on the same day.
Thank you, Trailside Galleries, for sharing my piece "Winter Tales." May this chickadee's stack of tales find a home to treasure them.
