Honestly I think all therians owe it to other animals to properly educate themselves. You have more than likely fallen victim to misinformation, and only education can fix that.

Being a therian does not automatically mean you actually know much about the animal you identity as! So learn!

För den som vill spetsa till det kan man ställa sig frågan: Om nu arbetstiden kan sänkas utan konsekvenser för samhället, varför stanna vid några timmar kortare arbetstid? Varför inte halvera den? Eller kanske ta bort den helt och hållet?

The last two years I've gotten comments from non-therians: "oh, an adult therian! Maybe you can give a workshop and let people try your hobby, make more people interested in being a therian!"

So grateful for the nice comments from other therians though. "Love your blog, can relate" etc. *wag*

So you are not fine with it just say you actually do not like self expression unless it falls in line with what you like

Could be! A lot of the younger kids seem to have treated is as nothing more than imaginative play, a hobby, maybe a temporary thing. But also - there were signs of me being a therian as a small kid. Some signs were lupine, but some not. Why did I grew out of my cat-like tendencies, but not the wolf?

3) What if the experience of being a bit more "fluid" species-wise when growing up, and that later stabilizing into one or two theriotypes rather than a dozen, is more common than we thought? Kind of like how daemons in "His Dark Materials"-books go from shapeshifting to one form in puberty?

2) They're still therians, but with fewer theriotypes. Time will tell whether they will keep on being therians, or if they will grow out of all of those species. In the past, the community didn't have tweens. It used to be that most of us found the therian community in our late teens.

🧵 1) Anecdotally, it seems like cameo shifts are more common among young therians. If we take the young quadrobics-and-mask-therians at face value, they often list A LOT of theriotypes. I've seen them post in panic later because they seem to "lose the connection" to some of those theriotypes.

I prefer reading/writing over photos, short videos, podcasts etc. So, no disrespect towards my more visual and/or listening crowd. But I just miss how the internet was 15 years ago, before videos being EVERYWHERE. Give me video game guides in GameFAQs text files, not youtube videos, please.

I knooow. Still just a nagging feeling that's difficult to let go of.

I've experimented a bit with being more openly therian at night clubs, where I meet strangers who are unlikely to affect my life and career - who might not even remember me or meet me again. So I told some people yesterday at House of Q about my plans for a therian+furry party. Feels weird!

Sometimes I'm worried that when I tell a non-therian that I'm a wolf, they'll think of it was in wolf stereotypes. As in "lone wolf", or masculine (why are animals connected to gender??) or strong and dangerous... But I just mean it as the animal. That I should have a long snout, fur, chase deer...

I enjoy reading both first person and third person POV. But I feel bad about a lot of the fiction I write being in first person. I think of it as a "childish" writing style, since that perspective is more common in YA? But on the other paw, some classic horror lit (Dracula) is also first person POV.

What's your opinion about fiction written in first person? ("I" POV)
