This album changed my life. It changed my music tastes and my political views. I found it in my sister's room when she went to university and i listened to it on a tiny mono record player and i knew I'd found my people.

I lived in Salford but I'm from Cheshire. I'd get the bus into Piccadilly gardens and walk down to the Salisbury for a pint before going to the Ritz. I was a goth, but not one of the cool ones. Thursday night I'd be down stairs in the Banshee. It was an amazing time for a lad from the countryside.

Yes, Monday nights were cool. I was there 1988-92 so I'm guessing we probably were there at the same time at some point. I loved the ending when folk would pretend to be planes and fly around the dance floor as the lights came up.

This brings back some memories. I saw a lot of gigs around that time. I always like the sprung floor at the Ritz, but I mostly went to the international and international 2.

These days I'm not very bright in the mornings, so I was very confused to find the main entrance to the office blocked by a wall of chipboard. Thankfully office services were on hand to guide me to a side entrance. While they didn't say "Come this way old timer", they were definitely thinking it!
