The neg wire end that did burn needs to be stripped on the light anyway. Might just give it a connector and plug into separate power source instead of the terminal on the main board.

Yeah, reconsidering just replacing the first (of two) wires when the new main board comes in. That one seems unscathed. Odd the manufacturer doesn’t have a dedicated connector for the second wire (led light) but to screw it in next to the first wire in the terminal block.
