There's an extra grift before that step... Bailout that prioritizes big agribusiness. So buyouts are basically free rolls

There were tons of articles like this straight up and down the farm belt during the first term of all this... But not all of them are available anymore

The most serious weakness of the left is: If some Chud argues a point, no matter how hideous their position, some asshole from the left will engage them, spreading their shit around.

There are subjects BEYOND argument. For instance: We don't argue whether or not people are people. Ever.

Looks like a regular town obviously named and populated by very normal everyday humans.

not the main point but it should be illegal to interview someone more than 3 times for the same position

Posting ghost jobs should be illegal. If companies do this to harvest consumer data or create the appearance that they are โ€œalways hiringโ€ to appease investors, how is this just not fraud? Is there a meaningful legislative remedy for this?

They saw past Tuesday's victories as a loss of control and are punishing their voters

If wondering why random no-original-talent starlet's summer album isn't half bad

.or studio refuses to promote this artist or that movie

All must satisfy the algorithm and obey

...and that was before AI

There are little stories like this that pop up and someone immediately points out is a bad thing for capital and it just seems to disappear

Seen articles like this around music, movies, smoking...fucking whole wheat...

...tears in the rain

But apparently ppl have always liked music and there are similarities in stuff we listen to now and the stuff ppl used to listen to 1000 years ago

They've been using this stuff to predict which songs will be hits for a couple decades now

I remember like 20 years ago an episode of Last Call with Carson Daly

...where they talked about labels using math to "help" artists write charting songs

Where they compared similarities in sons from Gregorian chants through Metallica to Michael Jackson

We have been headed here for a long time

The thing about last Tuesday's elections is... The Dem leadership didnt see it as a win.

Dem leadership couldn't mandate those elections so it wasn't a win to them

And their thinking is: if it didnt help them, in a two party system, it counted against them

It's a rebuke and warning to voters

Congress is theirs not the peoples'

Play ball or it can get worse

They view congress as their retirement plan or a place to arrange payoffs... not a working job

How dare we

10.11.2025 20:31 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

This really is a rebuke of their voters.

I've said before their whole thing is "help us and we'll keep it the same"

Not better but the same

They didn't receive what they wanted so they're letting the bar slide

10.11.2025 20:31 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

And btw this does mean everyone. Even if you don't use ACA

After everyone's rates go up varying amounts - many can't afford the new rates

Those ppl fall off of their plans. No longer customers

The healthco still wants to make the same money...so they charge remaining ppl more

10.11.2025 19:54 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yes yes. It gets more complicated. Subsidies. Credits. Per annum this and that. ...all attached to each customer

But bottom line is everyone pays more

10.11.2025 19:54 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

For those who don't understand some of the math ppl are throwing around

If you remove several million customers

...but want to make the same amount of money

You have to charge more

A lot more

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly whatโ€™s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

It's hard to judge if Schumer is leading the caving effort because...

He was always on their side

They bought him out in some way we'll find out in couple years

Or...he just doesn't want to go maintain pretense of pretending to work through the holidays

10.11.2025 06:23 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Pelosi already announced she's not going to do reelection

My guess is too many behind-the-scenes/leadership types already checking out and Schumer's next in like to "decide" to retire

Tossing a big fuck you to Dems for next midterms

09.11.2025 23:14 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I'm old enough to remember the small side problems and little factoids surrounding how Biden appointed kamala and then didn't support her campaign

Schumer trying to gather votes to reopen feels like that all over again...but to Dems at large

...and the next midterms

09.11.2025 23:14 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

He's added a small book worth of over thought crunch to support his one page that actually attracted ppl

Everyone tells him they love the crunch

The rules grind the game to a halt 5 times a round

No one posts gameplay examples or stores

There is zero excuse for police, in a free society, to wear a mask.

I still maintain he's just trying to postpone so that he can frame it as something he did for Thanksgiving

...which the media will lap up with abandon as they come to heel

One of the weird things that's been hijacked but you kind of have to allow it is...

How the Salem witch trials were over a fenceline (zoning) dispute... And not anything to do with witchcraft.

... And that witchery and whatever was just the "...to protect children" of their times
