I am worried for the day my joke becomes reality. It's getting closer.

I've noticed how the vast majority of politicians in power don't have the political prestige and thus job security to do anything meaningful. But these times are offering perfect opportunities to do just that. Just look at how much press van Hollen got for his stunt. Make yourself known!

Four images on a white background with two arrows going from the two images on the left to the two images on the east. From topleft to bottomright: the first image is of the Fall of Kabul in 1996, the second image is of 9/11 in 2001, the first image is of the Fall of Kabul in 2021, and the fourth image is a black question mark scheduled for the 2026. The two arrows from 1996 to 2001 and from 2021 to 2026 are labelled "5 years".

In the first one, it says:

"Another warning came from Ahmad Shah Massoud, leader of the anti-Taliban Northern Alliance. Massoud told the parliament that his intelligence agents had gained limited knowledge about a large scale terrorist attack on U. S. soil being imminent. Massoud was assassinated by al-Qaeda two days before 9/11."
"the CIA's Counterterrorist Center reported to President Bill Clinton that al-Qaeda was preparing for attacks in the U.S. that might include hijacking aircraft."

In the second one, it says:
"Pakistani National Security Advisor has warned that the West risks a second 9/11 situation if it doesn't recognize the Taliban."

The implication here is that since another Islamic Emirate has emerged like in 1996, it will take five years (or in 2026) for something similar to occur.

This was created by LegitSi back on the bird app in 2022 I believe. The earliest time I could've made this meme was September 2022, when the Queen died and @fyrishere made the connection between Jesus and QEII, implying she would rise in 3 days on 9/11. This is the template by which this meme exists.

I feel like I need to post this before it's too late.

I feel like they have to softball Republicans otherwise they're just gonna boycott Meet the Press. Unfortunate, but that's the way things are.

A picture of the Bluesky page from the perspective of @legitsi.neocities.org. The tabs are Discover and Following, of which Discover is selected. There is nothing on the Discover tab besides a png of a magnifying glass, "This feed is empty! You may need to follow more users or tune your language settings.", and a big white button saying "Find accounts to follow" with a right arrow on the very right.

I did it. I defeated Bluesky. My Discover feed is completely empty.

If I'm meant to get "billionaire is a greedy asshole" out of this, well no shit. This doesn't dispute what I said. He will want something out of Bluesky at some point but for the time being he's in favor of it. I don't know when he'll turn tail, but he'll do it eventually.

I know for a damn fact that Mark Cuban isn't supporting Bluesky out of the kindness of his heart. He wants something out of it. But until the day comes where he finally needs that favor, it'll be a pleasant surprise that a billionaire supports Bluesky and its ideals.

BREAKING: The Onion has declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

CEO Ben Collins says, "The news cycle worsened so fast we couldn't make good satire before it just became news [...] and without a sponsor to report on favorably we couldn't compete in the news space. We weren't even there first anymore."

People may (or probably not) have noticed I'm not using Bluesky that much anymore. I've forgotten to include it as part of my daily routine, mostly because it became doomscrolling after a while. Probably my fault considering the algorithm.

I'm still never gonna go back to Twitter.

Prediction that I'm locking in now: Trump will be ousted, assassinated, or lose control of Congress by the end of 2025.

Everyone is smart, everyone is capable. However, our brains can only do so much at a time and we are all capable of having a brainfart or being clueless about something. Yes, even you.

"Darwinism" only culls our future talent because of a simple singular mistake that shouldn't be that devastating.

I can't speak for everyone, but my best guess is that decades of pent-up anger about the way things are being run now and in our future has finally burst forth. Civil disobedience isn't working, so people are resorting to violence.

In short:
"I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!"

You ever find yourself near a classic car and notice that... it smells real bad?

Like, really bad? A dozen lawn mowers bad?

That's because it doesn't have a catalytic converter, so it allows you to smell what burning gasoline actually smells like.

It should be reminded time and time again that the vast majority of Trump voters were conned into their vote with promises of lower prices and such, and thus shouldn't be blamed for that. It's the intolerants among Trump's voterbase we should really be after.

Gimmick accounts like "such and such daily" not only making a resurgence but also appearing on my Discover page seems like proof that Bluesky is slated to replace Twitter.

How good or bad is that? Well, considering enshittification is going to happen to Bluesky at some point, I don't know.

Question: how is something like this even possible when you can just verify yourself using a website? Sure, someone could impersonate you, but the handle would and should give it away.

There is a difference between harmless dumb, where it just seems silly and everyone's able to have a good laugh over it, and harmful dumb where it's genuine misinformation. The past few years have seen the unfortunate takeover of harmful dumb from the previous reign of harmless dumb.
