On average, humans need to use restrooms 8 to 10 times a day. Do you always have access to a restroom when you need one? Public restrooms are often hard to find, poorly maintained, or unavailable altogether, leading to repeated, preventable infectious diseases like Hepatitis A and Shigellosis.

And this gives us an excuse to roll out the gloriously droll pun of us doing a competetive "Sunday Assembly Line"! Please join us tomorrow for an assembly chock full of fun and community. Plus, it's SASD's 12th birthday! There. Will. Be. Cake.

You can bring one item or you can bring a whole bag-full! The more items that are donated, the more meal kits we'll be able to build to keep our neighbors fed. There's a lot going on we can't change right now, but this is a little thing we can do together to help.

We are asking Assemblers to bring donations of the following shelf-stable foods to the Assembly if they are able:

Boxed macaroni and cheese
Canned diced tomatoes (14.5 oz can).
Canned chili (with or without beans, meat or vegetarian are acceptable. Approx. 15 oz can)

Food banks serve hundreds of thousands of San Diego County residents monthly. Between the effects of the gov't shutdown, ⬇️ in food aid, and ⬆️ cost of groceries, resources are stretched thin right now. As part of our mission to Help Often, we are building meal kits for Feeding San Diego tomorrow.
