SHIVERS [Easy: Failure] β€” The door ahead beckons. You hear a whisper, but you can't make out what it is. Your feet move on their own, and your sluggish steps take you to the roof. Why are you up here? What year is it? And why is the sun so bright? You look down. Reporters are shouting.

What are the quirks that production has to remove/fix for each host? Who breathes weird or blinks too loudly?

I also understand if this is absolutely a bad question!

Desk setup tours would also be neat.

Its fun picking the truth out of this thread, like eating a curry full of bones

Hey TK. Please don't spam Sunday Assembly chapters with your posts. It's not an effective way to get out your message, even if you're convinced it's important and true.

Wow Kristal! I oddly appreciate this reaction. It was freaky in the moment, but I've put it behind since then. But yeah, it was scary, and could have been worse. Grateful.

I don't bike to Buckhead anymore because of a change to my work, but it definitely dissuaded me for a long while.

It's all good. We're figuring out these new platforms together. Glad I pointed it out.

Punchline is that I was hit by a car (I was fine) in December on Piedmont Ave and reached out to my city council person. I don't think much changed about signage at the intersection, though his office was responsive.

I looked y'all up to DM, and it says you can't be msged. Not sure if y'all can update settings or if you need to mutual follow to DM 🀷

To this day PR people ask me if Intuit really asked me to delete this part of the interview and shake their heads in sad disbelief. My friends what we sell here is our ethics policy

Was just about to post this same thing. Truly amazing to see how the sausage is made. Nicely done, Big Dog Strategies.

Polygon being profitable is something to be proud of, if it's possible to separate that from Vox's abhorrent decision. No shame if that feeling isn't accessible right now.

You are not insane. It's a truth that means something. Cross-stitch that shit, mark the moment.

(I'm a rando, ignore me, etc.)

I am so glad.

I have sticky notes on my wall of nice things my coworkers have said about me. It helps interrupt the narratives that big systems push on us to feel bad and absorb their problems.

I'd encourage something similar if you're not doing so already!

You don't know me, but I believe the number of your peers who took time to share how great your work is after Polygon fell deserves more weight than some media exec's careless bad math.

The negative always looks large, so I don't blame you. But I wanna be βž•1️⃣ that you didn't need to do better.

The definition of "close friend" could change in the post social media era.

Didn't read the paper/article to know if this is covered; apologies.

I spent seven years writing a book on this and she just… said it in three succinct paragraphs to politico.

"Design a realistic-looking political campaign poster for John Ossoff to be used in professional press materials for the campaign. Feature a grayscale side profile of him. The background should be split horizontally: the top half in a rich green and the bottom half in a light gray with a subtle textured finish. The overall tone should be clean, professional, and inspiring. Do not include any campaign slogans or text-just the poster. Avoid excessive brush strokes; aim for a realistic quality suitable for distribution as marketing material to voters."

Presumably-generated Ossoff image, then "Vote republican" image

Mailer with green top half, the same Ossoff image as the previous image, and the text "Real Georgians want to know... Why did senator Jon Ossoff vote to make life more expensive?"

Anti-Ossoff campaign seems to publish the ChatGPT prompt used to generate Ossoff image and the mailer

Handwritten notecard. Prompt at the top asks: What object was most devastating for you to lose, and how have you been coping? Answer below: Dentures. Were thrown away and coping isn't somthing I can do. It’s made me feel ugly, unworthy, can’t go get a job with no teeth. So how can get off the streets until another pair can be made?

ProPublica spoke to about 150 people who had lived in homeless encampments when cities cleared them out in β€œsweeps.”

We distributed notecards so people could tell us about the toll in their own words.

My eternal question whenever I see a suggestion for a mandatory school class to ask what class it would replace.

What can we do with one semester less of?

This song was in my head recently, and I kinda guessed this might be the one you couldn't place!

It might be quite min/maxed on excellence and forgetability since it's a GB Mario game.

FWIW I think Sydney is (as usual) correct that this is the thing that would make the IOC do something (not violating the fairness and inclusion framework). If I were a sports editor (AHEM I know some of you follow me) I'd commission a piece from her on this. She's the perfect person to write this.
