Using my grandmother’s silver butter knife today. Thinking about her and how horrified and angry she would be that everything her generation worked so hard for is on its way to rubble. She hated Trump. She lived in Queens, she knew him from her brother in law who was in the steel industry.

Went to Trader Joe’s today dressed in all black where it was full of people, quiet and solemn, except for the music over the speakers. I spotted more than a handful of other women also dressed in black and we gave each other a knowing glance. We’ve got each other.
