I taught some lovely people yesterday, every one of them refugees - educated, creative, thoughtful, humorous. My experience of people seeking a new life in England has always been positive.

Excellent. This cuts right through it. J. D. Vance must take Valium in order to sleep.

It's a good photo, but your present one looks more professional. Is that a good thing? Either way, it's all a good look.

Ha! I was getting married the next weekend and I decided I'd had enough of all the organising and ran off to the cinema for the afternoon to watch this.

It's hilarious. And northern accents are just plain funny, though that's probably my roots showing.

I taught in Faust House in Charles Square, Prague, in 1993. Where Mephistopheles took Faust through the ceiling.

I'm reading this superb anthology at the moment. Every short story is followed by an interview with the writer, looking at how the story was formed. And the stories are excellent. It's a brilliant insight into the writing process.

I used to love comics and still have an affection for Moebius and Metal Hurlant and will still read Alan Moore. But the idea of doing a comic is still there in the background. But the time needed...Anyway, it sounds fascinating.

Hi CB. Sounds great. Love the 'ravaged sandbox'. Hope it's going well. And a female protagonist too!

Great title. And great plot. I love cross-genre. Mine was a sci-fi thriller. Quatermass meets George Smiley. A comic series? Comic book? Are you illustrating it?

For the science fiction writers out there: My first publication was a novelette published in an anthology called Angles, about a secret war and an imminent visitation from space. I'm now working on a kind of post-apocalyptic novel. How about you?
