The Trump Admin isn't interested in public safety - they're terrorizing communities to boost numbers in a mass deportation scheme that is as inhumane as it is a waste of resources. This sort of behavior from federal law enforcement is what you might expect in a military dictatorship - not the U.S.

It turns out that federal prosecutors have not filed criminal charges against any of the people detained in that raid, nor have they provided any evidence that any of them were connected to the "Tren de Aragua" gang - which was the entire pretext for the raid in the first place.

Remember that immigration raid in Chicago in September - the one where 300 agents stormed an apartment building in the middle of the night, detained 37 immigrants and several more U.S. citizens for hours, including screaming children, and brought a TV crew along with them to film the whole thing?
