I was impressed by the innovation happening right here in Michigan. These folks design and build many of their fire prevention tools and vehicles, and are considered some of the best in the nation. Huge thanks to the team for the critical work they do to keep Michigan's forests and communities safe.

Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to visit the Forest Fire Research Station near Roscommon and meet with the incredible team from the Forest Resources Division of the Michigan DNR.
