In the egg industry, the female chicks are debeaked, while male chicks are killed by asphyxiation or maceration since they don't lay eggs.

It sounds too horrible to be true: Weak, sick, or injured piglets are killed by grabbing them by the hind legs and smashing them against concrete walls or floors. This practice is called piglet thumping, and it's legal and widespread on pig farms.

For every cow producing milk, there's a baby that was ripped away from her.
Unwanted calves are shot. Calves that will grow up to be exploited for milk or slaughtered for beef or veal are kept in solitary pens. Many die of neglect.

No grass, no sun, no room to run. Factory farms are hell on Earth for the animals trapped inside them 💔

Ammonia from the feces of thousands of chickens stings their eyes and inflames their skin. Their body aches from their muscles growing too big, too fast. Some among them lie dead or dying from the squalid conditions.

The dairy industry impregnates cows just to exploit their motherhood for milk. A few "lucky" calves are allowed to stay with their moms, but "anti-suckling devices" are placed in their noses to stop them from drinking the milk the farm wants to sell 💔

Can you imagine the anxiety and fear pigs feel as they huddle inside overcrowded transport trucks parked outside of the slaughterhouse? These are some of their last moments alive.
